This worked well for two uses. And then the CD player completely stopped working for no reason. The lights and microphones continue to work but it won't play or even acknowledge the presence of any CD. Looking at reviews from other sites, this is not uncommon. It's such a shame; my daughter loved playing with it for the first two times. Plus, I'd spent money on CD's for it. Not to mention the 6 "C" batteries that it requires!
