Celebrate Hello Kitty’s 35th Anniversary and Fill Your Heart and the World with Color!
Who knew what began in Japan 1974 on a coin purse would blossom into a global Hello Kitty phenomenon?
Believe it or not, 2009 marks Hello Kitty’s 35th Anniversary. To celebrate, Sanrio will offer a full slate of activities, festivities, exclusive products, and tons of fun surprises just for you!
The worldwide theme for this 35th Anniversary is Hello Kitty Colors, which conveys the very essence of Hello Kitty that has made her so special to fans and friends for so long: red for friendship, pink for cute, yellow for heartful, green for wish and lavender for sweet. The message of each color is reflected in Hello Kitty’s trademark bow, which has become super-sized for the occasion.

There’s more to come… So be sure to come back often to see what’s happening here in the US, and visit Japan’s www.kitty35.com site to join the global celebration!
