Bought this for my very mature 3-year-old niece, who absolutely loved it. She had to put it on the moment she opened it. The pendant is attractive, well-made and appealing. The mechanism that allows the rainbow to move independently of Kitty works well. Liked the extender, but the necklace at its shortest length was long for her size, which is "average 4-year-old." Unfortunately, the chain broke in three places before the day was over. This may be positive from a safety perspective. If given to an active child, you may want to be selective about the activities it is worn for. Otherwise a good buy.
