Licensing Manager - Hardlines : Torrance, CA

Job Description

Under general direction of the Sr. Licensing Director, responsible to analyze, maintain, prepare licensing business data, sales forecasts/records and help identify potential licensees and categories for the United States and Canada. Must directly manage Contract Administrator and provide guidance to Licensing Coordinator. Responsible for helping Sanrio Global Consumer Products meet quarterly and annual revenue goals. Responsible for directly managing the following categories, along with assisting in other categories as needed: seasonal, gift and novelty, craft, automotive, sporting goods, party goods and hard lines.


Education: Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years related licensing experience (or equivalent).
Experience: Relies on knowledge and expertise to use independent judgment and analytical skills to research, problem solve and make day-to-day business decisions. Demonstrated experience and success with licensing management and sales. Must be well versed in assigned category product life cycle, current licensees and key category players. Must be able to effectively lead and develop subordinate staff.

Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint), must possess excellent negotiation, organization/prioritization, problem-solving skills, able multi-task in fast-paced environment, excellent interpersonal & written/verbal communication skills; must be detail oriented and a team player able to interact professionally with licensees and internal business groups.
