Associate Product Approval Manager : El Segundo, CA

BUSINESS RELATED

  • Act as key contact for specified categories and licensees.
  • Analyze existing licensee businesses via forecasts, trend research, and competitive analysis.
  • Compile and update licensee lists for internal reference.
  • Contribute to new licensee recruitment: Blue sky ideation, incremental business opportunity identification, trend research, and overall market analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

  • Lead weekly cross-functional approval meetings with Licensing, Design, Retail, and Marketing teams to gain internal alignment and direction.
  • Oversee product development process by gathering line lists, reviewing incoming licensee submissions for compliancy, and assigning each item to the appropriate contact in Clipboard system. Manage weekly submission tracker.
  • Manage all pre-production and production samples received. Review pre-production samples with Creative Team on a daily basis. Close out production samples in Clipboard system and distribute to each department.
  • Communicate directly with licensees on issues involving product development and approval status.
  • Organize creative kick-off calls for licensees with Licensing and Creative teams. Oversee & maintain product development calendar for each category.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

BA (Business Administration, Marketing & International Business or related field preferred) and ≥2 years in Consumer Products, some sales and/or marketing experience. Proficient in Excel, MS-Office, PowerPoint, Outlook. Strong organization and prioritization skills, attention to detail and analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, managing several projects at once. Ability to establish priorities, make independent and significant business decisions and proceed with objectives without supervision. A team player, able to take direction and work professionally with others. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds. Must maintain company/licensee proprietary & confidential design concepts & information.
