Job Description/Duties

Support Licensing Manager in general licensing and product development responsibilities. Collaborate with Design team to support the product development process from concept to production. Serve as the key liaison for product approvals between Licensor and Licensee. Communicate with licensees on a daily basis for various requests relating to Finance, Retail, Legal, business updates and other inquiries. Assist in sales prospecting and pitches. Act as key contact for specified categories and licensees.

Job Licensing

Support Licensing Manager in general licensing and product development responsibilities. Collaborate with Design team to support the product development process from concept to production. Serve as the key liaison for product approvals between Licensor and Licensee. Communicate with licensees on a daily basis for various requests relating to Finance, Retail, Legal, business updates and other inquiries. Assist in sales prospecting and pitches. Act as key contact for specified categories and licensees.

  • Routinely follow-up on requests with licensees and business partners on various requests, including business updates, quarterly forecasts, and payments.
  • Work with Legal team to facilitate contract compliance, including tracking expiration dates and signatures. Manage contract expiration report and provide updates on a weekly basis.
  • Compile and update licensee lists for internal reference.
  • Contribute to new licensee recruitment: Blue sky ideation, incremental business opportunity identification, trend research, and overall market analysis.
  • Work with Finance team to gather annual and quarterly sales projections and verify quarterly sales.
  • Provide support to Licensing and Retail Business Development to coordinate retail programs and pitches.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating meetings and trade shows (ex. Licensing Show).
  • Act as key contact for specified categories and licensees.

Product Development:

  • Lead weekly cross-functional approval meetings with Licensing, Design, Retail, and Marketing teams to gain internal alignment and direction.
  • Support product development process by gathering line lists, reviewing incoming licensee submissions for compliancy, and assigning each item to the appropriate contact in Clipboard system. Manage weekly submission tracker.
  • Manage all pre-production and production samples received. Review pre-production samples with Creative Team on a daily basis. Close out production samples in Clipboard system and distribute to each department.
  • Communicate directly with licensees on issues involving product development and approval status.
  • Organize creative kick-off calls for licensees with Licensing and Creative teams. Manage product development calendar for each category.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • BA (Business Administration, Marketing & International Business or related field preferred) & 2+ years in Consumer Products, some sales and/or marketing experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, MS-Office, PowerPoint/Keynote, Outlook.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills, attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be solution minded and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, managing several projects at once.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Team player, able to take direction, work professionally with others and possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
