Hi! My name is Kate O’Leary and I'm a lover of all things sugar and color! I have created a wonderfully whimsy Instagram space that informs, inspires, and entertains all the creative souls out there.
My favorite things to do are travel (the further the better) and create colorful concoctions while on a never ending mission to find the most sugar-filled treats the world has to offer! That said, join me as I teach you step-by-step how to create this Aggretsuko Sweet & RAGE milkshake jam packed with the sweetest and saltiest flavors... and even edible icons of our favorite red panda!
Aggretsuko Sweet & RAGE Milkshake Recipe
Rice Cereal Drumsticks
Ingredients
6c chocolate rice cereal
1 bag of marshmallows
3 Tbsp butter
1 bag of large pretzel rods
White melting chocolates
Supplies
2 large microwavable bowls
Start by melting butter and marshmallows in the microwave for about 1 minute (save about 10 marshmallows for the chicken bones). Add in the chocolate rice cereal and mix well. While the rice cereal mixture is cooling, begin melting the white chocolate melts in the microwave for about 2 minutes. You will use this for the bone legs. Break your pretzels rods in half and attach marshmallows to the end using the melted chocolate as glue. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes. Now, dip your pretzel rods into the white chocolate and coat so it begins to look like a chicken bone. Place chocolate covered pretzels in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
Once hardened, grab your rice cereal mixture and press firmly onto the pretzel to form the shape of a chicken drumstick. Once complete, set aside to use in your Aggretsuko Sweet & RAGE milkshake.
Chocolate Music Notes & Microphones
Ingredients
Black candy melts
White candy melts
Supplies
Music note mold
Microphone mold
White pearl dust
Lollipop sticks
Start by melting the black melting chocolates in the microwave for about 1 minute. Stir to make sure there are no lumps and begin spooning into the music note mold. Next, layer the melted chocolate into the handle of the microphone mold leaving the head of the microphone empty. Now, grab your white chocolate melts and place them in the same bowl as the remaining black chocolate (you will be creating a light grey color). Melt for another minute and stir until an even grey color is formed. Spoon into the cavity of the microphone mold and insert lollipop sticks. Place both molds into the freezer for about 10 minutes to harden the chocolate.
Remove chocolates from the molds. Grab your pearl dust and gently rub onto the head of the chocolate microphones to give the illusion of being a shiny metal. Set aside to use in your Aggretsuko Sweet & RAGE milkshake.
Sugar Fire Candy
Ingredients
Red, orange, & yellow hard candies
Supplies
Foil
Baking tray
Toothpick
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and line a baking tray in foil. Unwrap the hard candies and arrange colors dark to light (red, orange, and then yellow). Place into the oven for about 12 minutes or until candy is completely melted through. Immediately after removing from the oven, use a toothpick to pull the tips of the yellow candy to form spike like flames. Allow to fully harden for about 30 minutes before attempting to remove from the foil.
Set aside to use in your Aggretsuko Sweet & RAGE milkshake.
Meringue Aggretsuko Cookies
Ingredients
4 egg whites
3c powdered sugar
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
Orange food coloring
Brown food coloring
Red food coloring
Black food coloring
Supplies
Baking tray
Parchment paper
Mixer
5 piping bags
Start by preheating the oven to 200 degrees. Next line a baking tray with parchment paper and begin whipping your egg whites in a standard mixer. Add the cream of tartar and continue whipping on high until stiff peaks form. Now, reduce the speed to medium and slowly add your powdered sugar (about an 1/8c at a time). Continue whipping until the sugar is blended through and high stiff peaks form.
Divide your meringue into 5 bowls, mix in food coloring, and spoon into piping bags. Starting with the orange piping bag cut approximately 1 inch off the tip so you can form large circles on your lined cookie tray. Once complete, grab your white piping bag and snip about 1/2 inch from the tip. Pipe the white details on Aggretsuko’s face and create her two ears. Next switch over to your brown piping bag. Cut 1/4 inch off the tip and begin piping the light brown details on her face and ears. Using your black piping bag with the tip cut 1/8, pipe 2 large oval shaped eyes, a triangular nose, & a mouth on half of your cookies. On the other half, create a bat-wing shaped mask and open shaped mouth using the same black meringue. On this half only, use your red piping bag with the tip trimmed 1/8 inch to fill in the shape you created for the mouth. Grab your white piping bag again and draw 2 almond shaped eyes in the mask, little teeth, and the shapes above her eyes.
Place in the oven and allow to bake for 2 hours or until the meringue is completely dried. Let the cookies thoroughly cool before trying to remove them from the tray
Set aside to use in your Aggretsuko Sweet & RAGE milkshake.
