Plan Check Kitchen + Bar and Sanrio® Celebrate Pompompurin and Chococat 20th Anniversaries

Plan Check Kitchen + Bar and Sanrio are teaming up once again - this time to feature Pompompurin and Chococat. The L.A. neighborhood restaurant that specializes in modern takes on American comfort food, and the global lifestyle brand best known for pop icon Hello Kitty, have partnered on an exclusive menu promotion to celebrate the characters' 20th anniversaries. Pompompurin is a laid back Golden Retriever with a talent for napping and Chococat is a boy cat with a chocolate nose who is a little scatterbrained at times.
Kicking off on Friday, June 10 and running through Sunday, July 10, Pompompurin and Chococat will take over all three locations of Plan Check Kitchen + Bar in the Fairfax, Sawtelle, and Downtown** neighborhoods of Los Angeles. The Plan Check culinary team has created Pompompurin and Chococat inspired dishes, which include: Mac & Cheese comprised of Americanized dashi cheese, bread crumbs, and Parmigiano Reggiano; Togarashi Potato Chips; a Pompompurin Dog with house blended sausage, kimchi slaw, and kewpie cilantro served on a crunch bun; a Chococat Cookie served with vanilla ice cream; and a Vanilla Cream Soda topped with whipped cream.
The multi-course Plan Check x Pompompurin x Chococat menu will be available for $39 and each menu set will include a limited edition co-branded cap.
In honor of Pet Appreciation Week (first week of June), a portion of the meal proceeds from the month-long promotion will be donated to L.A. Love & Leashes, an adoption space created by the non-profit Friends of L.A. Animal Shelters that is 100% dedicated to animals from Los Angeles' six city animal shelters.
Plan Check Kitchen + Bar and Sanrio first collaborated in late 2014 on a Hello Kitty®-inspired menu as part of Hello Kitty's Hungry Hunt - a promotion in celebration of the pop icon's 40th Anniversary. They also partnered in 2015 to launch Sanrio's gudetama, the lazy egg, with exclusive egg-centric menu offerings.
