Sanrio Expands Experiential Licensing with Southern California’s Parklane Dental
Hello Kitty & Friends Help Make the Trip to the Dentist A Lot Cuter
Sanrio is expanding their exciting experiential licensing program by partnering with Los Angeles-based Parklane Dental on the first ever dental office in the U.S. to feature Hello Kitty and Friends. The concept of experiential licensing is common practice for the global lifestyle brand throughout Asia, with their pop icon Hello Kitty greeting visitors in a myriad of locations including amusement parks, hotels, pop-up grocery stores, and a maternity hospital, as well as airports and airplanes through their partnership with EVA Air. These partnerships build on Sanrio’s mission of cultivating unique lifestyle experiences that touch every aspect of their fan’s lives.

Parklane Dental’s Hello Kitty and Friends themed office is located just outside of Los Angeles in Temple City and is sure to help patients feel at ease during trips to the dentist. The experience begins the moment you walk through the doors and into the lobby decorated with playful artwork featuring Hello Kitty, Gudetama, My Melody, Chococat, Badtz Maru, Little Twin Stars, Keroppi, Pochacco, and Pompompurin as dentists and hygienists with toothbrushes, dental floss and other adorable props. Individual Hello Kitty & Gudetama treatment rooms are decorated with the supercute characters appearing throughout the room to soothe patient’s nerves. Treatment rooms are available to patients on a first-come, first- serve basis and are based on scheduling availability for the day.

The program with Parklane Dental joins experiential partnerships with Energy Karaoke and Tanaka Farms. With two locations in Southern California, Energy Karaoke offers Hello Kitty, Gudetema and Aggretsuko themed karaoke rooms and foods; Tanaka Farms in Irvine, CA, focuses on programs to promote healthy eating and community support, while educating on sustainability, responsible farming, and agriculture.
