Q: Is there a difference between the Hello Kitty Cafe locations and the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck?

A: Both locations serve up many items that are supercute however the Hello Kitty Cafe locations brings to fans a larger menu such as cakes, tarts, pastries, and beverages while the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck's menu is a little smaller since it has to travel to greet fans across the country!

Q: Do you sell out at the Hello Kitty Cafe locations and the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck?

A: At times, yes. Baked treats are limited and can sell out in a day and the items on the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck are also limited as it can only hold so many wonderful items at a time. Please consider visiting earlier in the day to ensure that you'll find what you're looking for!

Q: Do you take credit cards at all of your locations and the truck?

A: Yes, we accept cash and all major credit cards.

Q: Do you have anything for people who are gluten-free or have nut allergies?

A: At the Hello Kitty Cafe locations, there are drink options available for those who are gluten-free or have nut allergies but all food items both at the Hello Kitty Cafe locations and the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck are not from a nut-free facility therefore may have traces of nuts on them.

Q: Are there any returns for food items purchased?

A: No. Due to the nature of the food consumption items and in alignment with health regulation standards, all sales are final.

Q: How is Hello Kitty Grand Cafe different from other Hello Kitty Cafes?

A: Hello Kitty Grand Cafe is the latest evolution of the Hello Kitty Cafe experience and the first cafe of its kind in the US. It offers an expanded menu featuring freshly baked cakes, cookies, donuts, seasonal goodies, and handmade hot and iced drinks, along with a selection of Hello Kitty Cafe merchandise and a sweet seating area to enjoy the experience.

Additionally, special Afternoon Tea and the evening Cocktail Service are offered via reservation at The Bow Room at Hello Kitty Grand Cafe. The Bow Room occupies a separate space behind the Hello Kitty Grand Cafe.

Starting Friday, September 21st, The Bow Room will be accepting walk-ins, on a first-come, first-served basis, pending availability.

Q: Will there be any exclusive items available only at Hello Kitty Grand Cafe?

A: Yes! There will be items available that are exclusive to Hello Kitty Grand Cafe including food items and merchandise.

Q: What is The Bow Room at Hello Kitty Grand Cafe?

A: The Bow Room at Hello Kitty Grand Cafe is a separate space behind the Hello Kitty Grand Cafe at the Irvine Spectrum Center and offers afternoon tea and an evening cocktail service that can be experienced by making a reservation.

Q: How can I make a reservation for The Bow Room at Hello Kitty Grand Cafe?

A: Make a reservation online here for parties of 6 or less. For parties of more than 6, email hellokittycafereservations@sanrio.com.

Be advised that The Bow Room at Hello Kitty Grand Cafe requests a credit card number to hold reservations. There is no charge for cancellations within 24 hours of the reservation time, but a $25 per person charge will be applied for late cancellations and no-shows. (e.g. For a party of 4 the cancellation fee would be $100).

Q: How far in advance can I make a reservation for The Bow Room at Hello Kitty Grand Cafe?

A: All reservations for parties of 6 or less can be made up to 60 days in advance online here. For reservations of parties more than 6, email hellokittycafereservations@sanrio.com.

Q: Is there a minimum number of people needed to reserve Afternoon Tea?

A: Yes. We require a minimum of 2 people to make a reservation as all tea sets are served in multiples of two. Reservations can only be made for parties of an even number (e.g. 2, 4, 6, etc...).

The same requirement applies to walk-ins.

Q: Are there any age restrictions for The Bow Room at Hello Kitty Grand Cafe?

A: For Afternoon Tea service, anyone over the age of 3 will need a reservation. Children 3 and under are welcome to join but will not have their own place setting without a reservation. If you would like for them to have their own place setting, you will need to make a reservation that includes them.

For the evening Cocktail Service, only those who are 21 and over may be allowed into The Bow Room as alcohol will be available for purchase. IDs will be checked at entrance before entering.

Q: Is there a dress code for The Bow Room at Hello Kitty Grand Cafe?

A: We want you to be comfortable and have a wonderful time. Traditionally for an afternoon tea, dressing smartly is always a smart choice. For the evening cocktail service, dressy attire is strongly encouraged, this means no beachwear such as tank tops, shorts and sandals.

Q: Can I modify or cancel my reservation?

A: Yes. Modifications or cancellations can be made through the confirmation email from Yelp. There is no charge for cancellations within 24 hours of the reservation time, but a $25 per person charge will be applied for late cancellations and no-shows. (e.g. For a party of 4 the cancellation fee would be $100).

Q: Is gratuity included?

A: Yes. For parties of 6 or less, a 15% gratuity is automatically added to the final bill for both afternoon tea and cocktail service. For parties of more than 6, a gratuity of 18% will automatically be added to the final bill.

Q: What if I’m late to my reservation? Will I still be able to be seated?

A: We understand that sometimes life happens. If you anticipate that you will be late, please contact The Bow Room at Hello Kitty Grand Cafe as soon as you can to let us know of your late arrival. We will do our best to seat all guests upon arrival. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we will contact you to re-confirm your arrival and if you do not answer, the reservation will be automatically forfeited.

Q: Can I book The Bow Room at Hello Kitty Grand Cafe for a birthday or private event?

A: Private event bookings will be available at a future date.

Q: Can I purchase any of the supercute place settings or tea service items at the Hello Kitty Grand Cafe?

A: Not at this time but please check back with us as this may change.

Q: I’m have food allergies/dietary restrictions, will you be able to accommodate me at The Bow Room at Hello Kitty Grand Cafe?

A: Please let us know upon being seated if you have a food allergy or any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate upon request. You can also ask us in advance when making your reservation but please remind us upon being seated.
