Message to the Sanrio Community regarding COVID-19 - UPDATED 3/19/20

To the Sanrio Community:

As we follow the latest communications surrounding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to share the specific measures that Sanrio is implementing across our stores, cafes and experiences.

We’ve always prioritized our employees, guests and fans across our retail stores, the brand experiences we create and the products we distribute. However, due to the new challenges of COVID-19, we are taking even further action to maintain and support everyone engaging with our brand.

Until further notice, we have initiated the following:

  • Sanrio Company Owned Stores: Sanrio Japanese Village Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles and Hello Kitty Hollywood at Hollywood & Highland are temporarily closed
  • Hello Kitty Cafe: All Hello Kitty Cafe locations including Hello Kitty Cafe at Irvine Spectrum, Hello Kitty Cafe at The Park Las Vegas, and Hello Kitty Cafe at Las Vegas North Premium Outlets are temporarily closed
  • Hello Kitty Cafe Trucks: Hello Kitty Cafe Truck stops are postponed
  • Sanrio Events: All events including Hello Kitty appearances and Sanrio character meet & greets have been cancelled
  • Sanrio.com: Our website remains open as we closely monitor the evolving status of COVID-19. The warehouse is taking preventative measures to operate at the highest standard of cleanliness while continuing to maintain business operations and fulfill orders

    As we prepare to navigate this ever-changing landscape and the challenges it brings, we will continue to keep our customers a top priority, updating processes and putting in place additional preventative actions to ensure a positive experience for our fans and customers.
